Rainspotter is the free rain radar app if you bike to work, do outdoor sports, organise events or simply want to know if you need to bring an umbrella or not.
It gives you detailed rain information up to 5 hours ahead and weather information up to 7 days ahead based on your current or pre-defined locations.
The rain radar is up to 15 minutes accurate, hyper local, works in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Denmark and even parts of Germany and Sweden.
Together with the notifications you will always be warned in time for upcoming rain.

How far in time can I look ahead?
Rainspotter allows you to look up to five hours ahead for detailed rain information on the radar and graph. The general weather information is gives a forecast up to 7 days.
Why can I look no further ahead than 5 hours on the radar?
We are using highly localised predictions which at this point in time can be made reliably up to five hours ahead. At this point we can not generate accurate predictions further into the future.
How accurate is it?
The data we show is very accurate and precise up to 500 meters! But sometimes the weather changes unexpectedly, so it might happen that the rain projections change. Especially if you looked a couple hours ahead, it’s wise to keep an eye out and check it occasionally. From our side we will of course update this data in real time to make you as prepared as possible.
Can I see other weather data?
We believe the the core strength of Rainspotter is to give you very accurate rain information based on your location for the upcoming hours. But we have also added more general weather information to give you a more complete experience. This general information is also based on your current or pre-defined locations.
Where does it work?
We are covering the whole of The United Kingdom, Ireland, Denmark (excluding Greenland and the Faroe Islands), and even North Germany (incl. Hamburg) and Southwest Sweden (incl. Malmö and Gothenburg).
What devices do you support?
At this point we are focussing on providing you with a mobile application for both iPhone (iOS 13 and up) and Android devices (Android 8 and up) .
